Board MemberWe are always seeking committed community members to join our Board!Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7PM. Applicant must submit a cover letter and reference.
Cook/Kitchen HelperWe require a volunteer who loves to cook to prepare a meal (e.g. soup) once a week, for our Neighbourhood House programs. The meal must be prepared for Wednesday of each week; however it may be prepared ahead of time.Applicant must be able to work independently. Preference will be given to those that have a Food Safe certificate.
Neighbourhood House AssistantHelp the Neighbourhood House Coordinator with creating story art, and other task as needed.Should enjoy being creative. Applicant must be able to work independently.
Newsletter/Graphic DesignerOur monthly Connections Newsletter requires help from a valuable volunteer to put together articles and pictures in a creative way. We also would like a person with graphic skills to update/improve the image of the Newsletter.Experience working with Microsoft Publisher is an asset. Preferred applicant will have experience with graphic designs.
Office AssistantGain experience in office administration by helping us with word processing, photocopying, filing, and other projects.Must be flexible, and able to work independently. Duties may vary depending on the skills and goals of the applicant.
On-Call Care GiverMinds children during Neighbourhood House programs, allowing the Coordinator to work with the parents.Applicants must be able to work independently, and have flexible availability.
On-Call Communications AssistantInform businesses and groups about the programs offered by Capital Families Association.Hours are flexible.
On-Call Handy PersonHelps out with various maintenance activities.Preferred applicant would have access to construction tools.
PhotographerBe creative by providing pictures of our various programs for our website, newsletters and other resource materials!We are seeking someone who is creative, reliable, and able to work independently. A camera can be provided. Hours are flexible.
Visual DisplayUpdate Capital Families Association’s display board, and other promotional materials for fairs and events.Should enjoy being creative and artistic.
