Free Bread Fridays
Capital Families provides free bread and buns through the generosity of Cobbs Bread, Langford.
Every Friday morning we have bread available at our Family & Early Childhood Centre. Please come and take all you need. All the bread is delicious and freezes well.
Free Bus Tickets
With the generous support of BC Transit we are able to provide free bus tickets. If you would like to attend any of our programs but don't have transportation please feel free to ask for a couple of bus tickets - one to get you here, and one to get back.
Free Clothing Exchange
Capital Families is offering a free clothing exchange. During any of our programs the clothing exchange is open and available for people to take what they need. We gratefully accept second-hand clothes and shoes in good condition (no toys, bedding or furniture as we don't have enough space) which are then free for the taking.
Good Food Box
Capital Families is a distributor of the 'Good Food Box'. The Good Food Box Program is a non-profit alternative food distribution system that facilitates access for all communities to high quality produce. They prioritize purchasing from local & regional farmers using sustainable farming practices.
You can purchase a $6, $12 or $18 fruit and veggie box, an all-fruit box ($15) or an organic box ($18).
Boxes can be ordered and paid for by the second Wednesday of each month, and picked up the following week.
