The goal of My Tween and Me is to build parent confidence and acknowledge the influential role parents play specifically with this age group through the presentation of research, child development information and parenting tips.
My Tween and Me will be a model of parenting education to support the information, prevention and intervention questions parents have about pre-teen high risk behaviour.
Dates: Tuesdays, November 16 - December 14 (5 sessions total), 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
Location: Capital Families, Family and Early Childhood Centre, 2764 Jacklin Road
Cost: $10.00/5 sessions
(Child minding bursary available by request.)

The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is an experience for parents or caregivers and their babies aged 0-12 months. This program focuses on the power and pleasure of using rhymes, songs and stories together. Free bus tickets are available for those who need them to get there. The program is free of charge; snacks & tea/ coffee are included. We appreciate a small donation if you can afford it.
Our next programs are taking place Wednesdays, 10 -11 a.m., September 22 - October 27, 2010 and Wednesdays, 10 - 11 a.m., November 10 - December 15, 2010.

We are offering ‘Right from the Start’, an 8-week program for new parents, on Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., running September 21- November 9th, 2010.
‘Right From The Start’ is an attachment course for parents of babies under 2.
Parenting can be hard! You want to make sure your new baby is healthy and happy. “Right From The Start” can put you on the right path. This course helps parents connect with their babies. A healthy parent-child relationship promotes infant attachment security, mental development and well-being.
Right From The Start is an 8-session course that uses video clips, problem solving discussions and skill-building exercises.
